Athletes go through a movement screen and baseline strength testing. Programs require a commitment of at least 2 and up to 4 days per week in the weight room.

The progressive programs are structured with a movement warmup, speed and strength and energy system training. Rest and recovery will be monitored.  Please contact me to discuss your Athlete Program. 3 OPTIONS AVAILABLE

JFit High Performance Training Academy

(u 16) 

 10 week Summer Training Program 10 weeks Start June 2020- End Aug 2020,

4 Days/week 2020


Sessions will be 1-1.5 hours in length and run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.   Session include personal programming in a small group setting.  Mobility/Activation, Speed, Power, Strength and Conditioning will be programmed each session according to athletes level.   Programming is progressive and movement mastery must be reached to add progression to avoid injury.

Specialty services include an interactive session with current Olympians.  Appropriate nutrition strategies for athletes goals and learning to prepare own recovery snacks will be covered in a fun setting.

OPTION 3

JFIT HIGH PERFORMANCE TRAINING ACADEMY COLLEGIATE


May-Aug 2020  4 Days a week

Initial athlete assessment to help with individualing the program.  4 days/wk Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays 1-1.5 hour sessions.  All progressive programming included, group setting, high coach to athlete ratio.  Fun, interactive, competitive. Day with a Sports Nutritionist (Masters in Athlete Nutrition, MSc.) to debunk any myths surrounding health, muscle building and recovery. Times will be mid morning to lunch and verified closer to camp start.

Track Record

I started working with competitive athletes while I was in University playing varsity volleyball. I began my passion with plyometric training and quickly branched into post rehabilitative training.  Realizing many athletes lacked a baseline strength and movement to perform at a consistent level I learned the regressions. Naturally I evolved towards my love for strength and performance training and I enjoy the journey of taking athletes to the next level.

I worked as a Strength and Conditioning consultant for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies for 4 years (2010-2014). I trained professional hockey players 4 days a week during their off season, helping them get stronger and work through post rehabilitative injuries.

I currently work out of Prototype Sports Performance where I coach Team Canada Athletes adult to u16.  I coach Pro/National, NCAA and AAA hockey players in summer during their dryland training.  I did work with  CFL/NFL Athletes during our winter months for training camp.  I was the head strength and conditoning coach for the Toronto Furies of the former CWHL 2018/19.  We had players national players from team Canada, USA and Japan.
